With summer just around the corner, AirAsia Philippines is doing its best to offer more competitive ticket prices and enticing travel experiences to its guests, despite the challenges posed by inflation and fluctuating fuel prices in 2024. The airline is actively implementing strategies to mitigate the impact of these economic factors on its pricing, ensuring travelers can still enjoy affordable journeys.
In response to the Civil Aeronautics Board of the Philippines (CAB) announcing an increase in the Fuel Surcharge to Level 6 for March, from the current Level 5, AirAsia Philippines is finding innovative ways to soften the blow for its passengers. The adjustment in the Fuel Surcharge means an increase of PHP185 to PHP665 for domestic flights and PHP610.37 to PHP949.51 for international flights. However, AirAsia reassures its customers that tickets purchased this month will not be subject to the surcharge increase next month.
The airline’s commitment to providing value doesn’t stop at managing surcharges. “AirAsia Philippines will continue to diversify its product offerings to cater the changing needs of our guests especially those belonging to the Gen Y and Z who are expected to travel more this year, and will be on a lookout for the lowest deals to save money,” says AirAsia’s Head of Communications and Public Affairs and First Officer, Steve Dailisan.
