AirAsia recently organized a golf tournament for kids with cleft palate

Nothing like paying back, especially in times when you rise back to the occasion. With the rebound of air travel, it seems like things had been going strong for AirAsia Philippines. Hence, why not give-back to the community? As such, AirAsia Philippines recently organized a golf tournament in partnership with Operation Smile Philippines for the benefit of children with cleft palate.

The name of the golf tournament is “Swing for Smiles.”

The event ended to be a successful one, knowing that 142 golfers participated which generated a whopping PhP 500,000.00! This will be used used for the beneficiaries’ palatoplasty procedures.

Four of the top golfers were awarded with free round trip tickets to any AirAsia Philippines domestic destinations! Golf aficionados were also treated with themed games and giveaways from AirAsia Super App Philippines and other partner brands in the event.

A long term partnership with Operation Smile Philippines

This is however not the first time AirAsia worked with Operation Smile Philippines. The airline has been supporting the organization for quite some time now. In fact on board all their domestic flights, AirAsia would have a donation drive “pass the hat” style for Operation Smile Philippines. So just imagine how much has been raised and how many children this drive has helped!

Congratulations to AirAsia Philippines and Operation Smile Philippines for a successful golf tournament! Hoping that you get to help more children that will bring more smile to their faces!

“We have been a proud partner of Operations Smile for  years now and we are glad that we get to support them once again in this initiative. Through the Swings for Smile Golf Tournament, we are able to raise awareness and necessary funding for early intervention for children with cleft palate. We thank all the 142 golfers that participated and chose to be part of this cause.”
