PAL & Rolls-Royce: TotalCare Deal for Trent XWB-97 Engines

PAL & Rolls-Royce: TotalCare Deal for Trent XWB-97 Engines

In a significant advancement for aviation, Rolls-Royce has unveiled a ground-breaking TotalCare service agreement with Philippine Airlines (PAL). This dynamic partnership revolves around the state-of-the-art Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-97 engines, which will be the driving force for PAL’s fleet of nine Airbus A350-1000 aircraft.

The TotalCare agreement is an ingenious solution that offers the airline a predictable and fixed cost for services and maintenance of their new fleet. This well-planned service is devised to shift the risk of time-on-wing and maintenance costs back to Rolls-Royce, providing airlines with operational assurance.

The Power of Predictive Analytics

This premium service offering is buoyed by data collected through Rolls-Royce’s advanced engine health monitoring system. This system assists customers by increasing operational availability, reliability, and efficiency, proving that data truly is the new oil in the modern world.

The Engine of Sustainability

The Trent XWB engine demonstrates adaptability and reliability, proving equally efficient at powering short-haul or long-haul flights. This makes it a perfect fit for passenger and freighter operators with diverse networks. With a fuel consumption advantage of 15% over the first generation of Trent engines, the Trent XWB is the world’s most efficient large aero engine in service. Furthermore, it is ready to operate on a 50% Sustainable Aviation Fuel blend, highlighting the engine’s commitment to sustainability and environmental conservation. This partnership with Rolls-Royce will undoubtedly fast-track Philippine Airlines’ sustainability journey.
