AirAsia Philippines has announced that its flight from Manila to Cebu and Caticlan will depart from Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 beginning December 16, 2022.
The move is expected to reduce queues and passenger loads at the much smaller NAIA Terminal 4, where the airline operates the remainder of its domestic flights. A total of 109 combined weekly flights will be transferred to NAIA Terminal 3, where they will operate alongside all AirAsia Philippines international flights.
AirAsia Philippines Chief Executive Officer Ricky Isla said, “The exponential growth in the holiday demand this year is expected, especially given the fact that travel restrictions today are way more relaxed compared to the previous years’. We are optimistic that by moving our busiest domestic flights to NAIA Terminal 3, we get to alleviate the travel woes of our kababayans in aspects such as queuing, waiting and boarding.”
The Cebu route of AirAsia Philippines had an 85 percent November load factor, while the Caticlan route had a high 90 percent. The airline will also continue to fly to Caticlan and Cebu from regional hubs such as Clark International Airport and Mactan-Cebu International Airport.
AirAsia Philippines reminds its guests to regularly visit the airasia SuperApp or the airasia flysafe page for updates on flight schedules and travel protocols. International passengers are also encouraged to accomplish the new eArrival Card available at https://onehealthpass.com.ph/ before their scheduled arrival in the country.
