AirAsia Philippines Adds Nagoya to its Japan Destinations

AirAsia Philippines is set to expand its presence in Japan by adding Nagoya as its third destination in the country. This development marks a significant milestone for the airline as it continues to grow its international network, especially in Japan, which remains a top travel destination for Filipinos.

Starting October 29, 2024, AirAsia Philippines will operate flights to Nagoya, one of Japan’s largest cities. With a population of over two million, including 57,000 Filipinos, Nagoya is a vibrant hub that offers a blend of rich cultural heritage and thriving industries. To celebrate the launch of this new route, AirAsia is offering a promotional fare of PHP 888 for a one-way base fare to Nagoya. This special offer is available for bookings made through the AirAsia MOVE app and the airline’s official website until August 11, 2024, for travel between October 29, 2024, and March 29, 2025.

“Japan is one of the strongest regional markets for AirAsia Philippines. In fact, we’ve already flown 210,000 guests in the first half of 2024. We are confident we will double the 270,000 guests flown in 2023 with our competitive airfares, more services, better flight timings, and world-leading service,” said AirAsia Philippines CEO Ricky Isla.

Located in the “Heart of Japan,” Nagoya offers visitors a variety of attractions, including the historic Nagoya Castle, the Shirakawago National Heritage Site, and the scenic Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route. The city is also a gateway to other picturesque destinations in Japan, such as the Chubu Region, which boasts stunning views of Mt. Fuji.

AirAsia Philippines’ inaugural flight to Nagoya is strategically timed to coincide with the autumn season, offering travelers an opportunity to experience the city during one of the most beautiful times of the year. With its mix of sunny and cooler weather, autumn in Nagoya provides the perfect backdrop for exploring the city’s cultural landmarks and natural beauty.
