AirAsia Philippines ups travel demand with an international flash sale

AirAsia Philippines expands its international routes, lowering the cost of its nine international flights to as low as Php 411 until November 6. Guests who take advantage of the promotion can book flights from 02 November 2022 to 30 September 2023 using the airasia Super App.

The world’s best low-cost airline recently restored 100% of its pre-pandemic domestic flight frequency in its Manila hub, which is thought to be a precursor to a rapid recovery of demand in the international travel scene. AirAsia Philippines’ monthly load factor for ASEAN destinations averaged 80% in the third quarter of this year. The figure is expected to rise before the end of the year, thanks to an increase in AirAsia’s frequency on some of its international routes: 11x weekly for Manila-Bangkok and 4x weekly for Cebu-Seoul beginning in November, and 3x weekly for Manila-Hong Kong by December.

AirAsia Philippines Chief Executive Officer Ricky Isla shares: “We are determined to achieve 100% of our pre-pandemic flight frequency to international destinations by the first half of 2023. Having observed the high travel confidence of Filipinos in the new normal in our own domestic operations, we are optimistic that with more relaxed border protocols abroad, we will see outbound tourism rebound significantly by early next year. We aim to propel this with promos that further make our flights attainable.”

AirAsia’s top international destinations from January to September, in order of ranking, are Manila-Seoul, Manila-Bangkok, Manila-Kuala Lumpur, Manila-Singapore, and Manila-Bali. It recently added Taipei and Osaka to its international route network.

Guests who want to take advantage of the flash sale on international flights can do so through the airasia Super App.
