Cebu Pacific garners perfect 7-star rating for covid safety onboard

Another factor in choosing which airline to fly is adherence to safety. The covid-19 pandemic has changed the landscape as people are more conscious of safety and hygiene. The aerospace industry is doing everything to ensure safe travels by adhering to all safety standards. Recently, Cebu Pacific was given a 7-star rating in terms of covid safety compliance by Airlineratings.com.

This means that your health and safety are a top priority of Cebu Pacific, where they ensure that the transmission of viruses on board is deficient, almost none.

What does a 7-star covid-19 safety rating mean?

Based on Airlineratings.com, Cebu Pacific adheres to all 7 safety standards when dealing with covid-19. These are:

  • COVID-19 website information and instructions
  • Social distancing onboarding
  • Flight attendant Personal Protection Equipment
  • Face masks compulsory
  • Meal service modified
  • Passenger Sanitizer Kit
  • Deep clean of aircraft

Flight attendants also spray disinfectant on the hands of every passenger during boarding. All aircraft come standard with HEPA filters which catch viruses and contaminants with a 99.99% accuracy, and air inside the cabin is renewed every 3 minutes. The airflow direction on board an aircraft is from top to bottom. Enjoying your meals on board an aircraft is even safer than in a restaurant.

With all these said, travelling with Cebu Pacific is safer, especially when biosafety is a primary concern. It is also essential, though, that passengers must obey all the safety regulations imposed by the airlines and carry them out passengers, such as wearing a facemask throughout the flying, except when eating, of course.

Greener operations

Cebu Pacific is also prioritizing sustainability in its operations. It continues to take delivery of brand new Airbus NEO jets, which produce fewer carbon emissions than its predecessors and are 15% to 20% more efficient. These NEO jets can use SAF or Sustainable Aviation Fuel, which the airline plans to use across its fleet by 2030.
