Cebu Pacific Takes Delivery of Another Leased A320ceo

Cebu Pacific starts the year with a boost to its fleet with the arrival of a leased Airbus A320ceo (A320-214) at Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila, straight from Chengdu, China. This new addition is just the start, as Cebu Pacific anticipates a total of 17 aircraft to join its fleet throughout the year.

The arrival of the A320ceo is a key step in Cebu Pacific’s strategy to offer more accessible, safe, and affordable flights to travelers. Xander Lao, the airline’s President and Chief Commercial Officer, expressed excitement over the opportunities this new aircraft presents. With plans to expand both domestic and international routes, Cebu Pacific is poised to welcome even more passengers aboard. The airline’s focus on growing its network and fleet ensures that more people can explore their desired destinations with ease.

Cebu Pacific is on track to reach a fleet count of 92 by the end of the year, boasting one of the youngest fleet globally. This diverse Airbus fleet includes eight A330s, 36 A320s, 20 A321s, and 14 ATR turboprop aircraft, which collectively support the widest domestic network.

As Cebu Pacific looks ahead, the anticipation of further aircraft deliveries this year promises an even more robust and resilient operation amidst some challenges, particularly with issues concerning the PW1100G turbofan engine recall, affecting the A320/321neo fleet of the airline. This progression is crucial for catering to the ever-increasing demand for travel, ensuring that Cebu Pacific can continue connecting people to places and experiences that matter most to them.
