Cebu Pacific’s Guide for a Smoother Undas Travel Season

Cebu Pacific’s Guide for a Smoother Undas Travel Season

As the Undas travel season approaches, Cebu Pacific aims to ensure that all passengers have a smooth and comfortable experience. With a rise in travelers expected during this period, Cebu Pacific shares several key tips to help passengers navigate the busy season with ease and avoid common travel disruptions.

Check Flight and Terminal Details Before Heading to the Airport

Before heading to the airport, it is important for passengers to verify their flight details. Checking the flight number and terminal assignment is essential for a hassle-free experience. Cebu Pacific operates two types of flights: 5J and DG.

  • 5J flights are operated by Cebu Pacific using larger commercial jets and depart from or arrive at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3.
  • DG flights, operated by Cebgo, use smaller turboprop aircraft and currently operate from NAIA Terminal 4.

However, starting November 7, 2024, all DG flights will move to NAIA Terminal 2. Passengers should take note of this change when planning future trips.

Arrive at the Airport Early to Avoid Delays

With increased road traffic during peak travel times, Cebu Pacific advises passengers to give themselves plenty of time to get to the airport. Travelers on domestic flights should arrive at least three hours before departure, while those on international flights should arrive four hours early. Those flying to Dubai can check in as early as seven hours before their flight.

Check-in counters close 45 minutes before departure for domestic flights and one hour before international flights. After check-in, passengers should go through immigration and security right away to avoid missing their boarding time, which starts 45 minutes before the scheduled departure.

Take Advantage of Online Check-in

To skip long lines at the airport, passengers can check in online through the Cebu Pacific mobile app or website. Online check-in opens 48 hours before departure and closes one hour before domestic flights and four hours before international flights.

Passengers without checked baggage can enter through NAIA Terminal 3 Gate 1 and go directly to the boarding gates. Digital boarding passes can be shown at the entrance. For those flying from NAIA Terminal 3, Cebu Pacific has relocated its check-in counters to Aisles A and B. Counters A1-A15 are for passengers who have checked in online, while A17-A29 and B1-B15 are for those who have not.

Complete Your eTravel Forms Before Traveling

For passengers flying internationally, it is necessary to complete the eTravel forms within 72 hours before departure. Passengers should register at the official website, save the QR code, and complete the Customs Declaration Form before arrival. This ensures a smooth process at the immigration counters.

For round-trip international flights, passengers need to fill out the eTravel form twice—once for the departure flight and again for the return flight.

Know Cebu Pacific’s Baggage Policies

Cebu Pacific allows passengers to bring one carry-on bag and one personal item on board, with a combined weight limit of 7kg. Bags exceeding the allowed size or weight may incur additional charges at the boarding gate.

Passengers can save on baggage fees by purchasing prepaid baggage online, which is up to four times cheaper than paying at the airport. Cebu Pacific’s baggage policy also lets passengers purchase additional baggage allowance up to two hours before departure, giving them extra flexibility.

For select domestic flights from Bacolod, Cagayan de Oro, Clark, Davao, General Santos, Iloilo, Manila, Siargao, Tacloban, Tagbilaran, and Zamboanga, passengers need to self-tag their checked luggage before proceeding to the bag drop counters. Self-bag drop kiosks are also available at NAIA Terminal 3 and Clark International Airport for added convenience.
