Delta and American Airlines Boost Flights to China

Delta Air Lines and American Airlines Group are gearing up to operate more flights to China, tapping into the strong travel demand in the Asia-Pacific region. The two carriers announced their plans on Wednesday, outlining the increased services that will soon be available. With the United States and China agreeing to approve double the number of passenger flights between the two countries, the airlines are seizing the opportunity to expand their reach.

American Airlines New Daily Service to Shanghai

American Airlines is stepping up its game by launching a daily service from Dallas-Fort Worth to Shanghai Pudong International Airport, starting from January. The carrier shared that the published schedule would be updated by this weekend to show the change. Currently, American operates flights from Dallas to Shanghai four times a week, so this new daily service marks a significant enhancement in their offerings to the region.

Delta Plans More Weekly Flights and Enhanced Connectivity

Delta is not far behind in expanding its services to China. The airline has announced that it will offer 10 weekly flights to Shanghai-Pudong International Airport from its Seattle (SEA) and Detroit (DTW) hubs. Delta stated, “Beginning October 29, the airline will operate daily flights from SEA and three-times-weekly service from DTW.”

This collaboration adds value to Delta’s services, providing more options for travelers looking to explore different parts of the country.
