Delta Halts More Flights to Tel Aviv Amid Regional Tensions

Delta Airlines has put a pause on additional flights between the United States and Tel Aviv due to the ongoing conflict in the area. The airline is keeping a close eye on the security situation in Israel to make informed decisions about its flight schedule to and from Ben Gurion Airport.

Flight Cancellations and Booking Suspensions

Starting November 1 through November 15, Delta will cancel all flights scheduled to depart between JFK and Tel Aviv. The airline has also stopped selling tickets for these flights effective October 24. Earlier this month, Delta had already suspended bookings for flights to and from Tel Aviv via Atlanta (ATL) and Boston (BOS). Now, the airline has decided to cancel all flights between these markets starting November 1. Customers affected by these cancellations will get notifications through the Fly Delta app and the contact information they provided during their reservation. However, seats on Delta’s partner airlines are still available for booking on Delta’s website and through Delta Reservations.

For those who booked their flights to or from Tel Aviv before October 11, 2023, Delta has a travel waiver in place. This allows customers to rebook their flights on available dates until September 6, 2024. Those who wish to cancel their travel can request refunds through the Fly Delta app, Delta’s website, or by calling Delta Reservations.

Safety Measures and Humanitarian Support

Delta is committed to the safety of its customers and crew. The airline is constantly reviewing the security environment and making adjustments to its operations based on the latest intelligence reports and U.S. State Department travel advisories. In addition to flight adjustments, Delta has donated $1 million to the American Red Cross to support humanitarian efforts for Israelis, Palestinians, and others affected in the region. This donation is part of Delta’s ongoing partnership with the American Red Cross, which dates back to 1941.

Delta Airlines has canceled more flights to Tel Aviv due to the unstable situation in the region. The airline is offering various options for affected customers, including rebooking and refunds. Delta is also contributing to humanitarian efforts through a donation to the American Red Cross.
