EGYPTAIR Boosts Fleet with Airbus A350-900 Acquisition

EGYPTAIR is taking a significant step in upgrading its global flight services by adding the Airbus A350-900 to its fleet. This move, announced at the Dubai Airshow, involves the purchase of 10 frames.

The Airbus A350-900 is celebrated for its advanced technology and design. It can accommodate up to 340 passengers in a spacious seating arrangement. The aircraft comes equipped with Rolls-Royce XWB Trent engines, noted for their eco-friendly design that reduces fuel emissions and consumption, aligning with the global trend towards sustainable aviation.

The Airbus AirSpace cabin, featuring wide seats, high ceilings, and soothing ambient lighting, promises a comfortable and enjoyable flight experience for passengers.

With a range of up to 9,700nm, the Airbus A350 stands out for its efficiency in fuel consumption, operating costs, and CO₂ emissions, offering a 25% improvement compared to previous-generation aircraft. It also boasts a 50% reduction in noise levels, making it a model of environmental sustainability and passenger comfort in aviation.

Partnership and Expansion Plans

The agreement was finalized at the Dubai Airshow, with EGYPTAIR’s Chairman and CEO, Engineer Yehia Zakaria, and Airbus’s Chief Commercial Officer and Head of International, Christian Scherer, in attendance. Zakaria expressed his excitement about enhancing their fleet with modern aircraft, reflecting the airline’s commitment to meeting increasing passenger demand.

Christian Scherer from Airbus emphasized the vital role of the A350-900 in EGYPTAIR’s fleet.
