Emirates Network Connects Travelers to 800 Cities Worldwide

Emirates Network Connects Travelers to 800 Cities Worldwide

As we all know, connectivity is key in the world of aviation. Emirates Airline, with its extensive network of partners, is a shining example of this fact. Each week, more than 50,000 travelers make use of these partnerships, flying on codeshare or interline flights to destinations around the globe. By creating and maintaining a strong network of partners, Emirates has driven its growth, provided easy connectivity for passengers, encouraged loyalty, and tapped into new markets, creating fresh streams of passenger traffic.

While Emirates has always prioritized organic growth, it recognizes the value of strategic partnerships, including interline agreements and codeshares. These collaborations not only extend the airline’s global reach but also help Emirates’ customers reach places far beyond the airline’s direct network. Emirates is committed to evolving its partnership strategy further, converting many of its interline partnerships into full-fledged codeshare agreements, and bolstering its existing codeshares to maintain its industry-leading network position.

Expanding the Network

Emirates’ network of partners has grown immensely since it signed its first interline agreement. Today, Emirates boasts 29 codeshare, 117 interline, and 11 intermodal rail partners. These partnerships span the transport ecosystem in over 100 countries, offering flexible schedules for travelers, seamless connectivity, and an impressive network reach that includes over 5,250 additional sectors covering over 800 cities.

These partnerships have redefined how people travel worldwide and reflect Emirates’ commitment to providing greater flexibility and confidence to customers when planning their travel itineraries. Emirates CCO Adnan Kazim says these partnerships are central to Emirates’ future success and a critical part of their commercial strategy.

Collaborations for More Choice and Convenience

Last year, Emirates signed codeshare and interline agreements with 11 airlines, expanding network choices for customers. The airline’s partnership strategy also includes a loyalty program, Emirates Skywards, and its freight division, Emirates SkyCargo, which collaborate with codeshare and interline partners to boost benefits for customers and reach new markets more efficiently.

Across the airline’s network, strategic partnerships have enhanced connectivity options for customers by expanding city pairs on a single ticket and integrating benefits in the loyalty space. This translates into more than 200 U.S. cities being accessible to Emirates customers traveling to the US via United’s network, and dozens of destinations across Canada, Mexico, Caribbean islands, and Central and South America.

In Europe, Emirates’ five codeshare partners and 35 interline partners provide access to more than 313 cities across the continent. Asia also benefits from Emirates’ nine codeshare partners, opening up access to over 150 popular cities across Thailand, Indonesia, Korea, Japan, and the Philippines.

Emirates’ partnership with Qantas is a prime example of strategic cooperation, providing access to over 60 Australian destinations, while Qantas customers can fly on Emirates to Dubai and access over 65 cities in Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa.

Finally, in Africa and the Middle East, Emirates’ partnerships have enhanced connectivity and value for customers, providing more flight options to regional points across the continent and enhanced connectivity to over 215 destinations across 98 countries, respectively.
