How flight attendants maintain a smooth and flawless skin

The nature of flight attendants’ jobs might result in skin outbreaks. Because of the work atmosphere, stress, inconsistent schedules, and make-up, they are prone to pimples and other skin imperfections. However, have you ever noticed that a flight attendant’s face is generally smooth and free of blemishes? As a result, it’s time to learn how flight attendants maintain their skin smooth and flawless.

You could imagine they pay a lot of money to dermatologists to get such smooth and healthy skin. In truth, they don’t pay that much. In reality, they adhere to a straightforward and manageable routine that everyone may follow.

Challenges flight attendants face to maintain smooth skin

The most difficult obstacle that flight attendants may have in preserving smooth skin is a regular sleep schedule. Flight attendants, as we all know, have irregular schedules. Getting adequate sleep is essential for having beautiful skin. Flight attendants, on the other hand, have methods for avoiding breakouts and advancing skin aging.

Tips and advice on maintaining smooth skin

Alexandra Taduran Cruz, a flight attendant, shares some tips.

  1. Never sleep with any make-up on and always find time to wash your face before sleeping. Using a mild cleanser is enough.
  2. Always use sunscreen. Whether staying at home or going out, it’s important to protect your skin from UV rays. It causes aging. Some are more advanced in others. According to Alex they encounter cases like this in some of their clients who visits their shop. These clients are within the same age range but those who are more exposed to direct sunlight have skin that are less elastic and have sun spots or damaged skin compared to those who aren’t.
  3. Never try on harsh skin products without the recommendations of your dermatologist (especially if you have sensitive/combi skin). Some might even experience skin purging caused by the chemicals present in these products.
  4. Drink plenty of water no matter how busy you are throughout the day. Our skin needs to be hydrated
  5. You know the saying, “You are what you eat” is actually true. Getting enough vitamins and nutrients is as important as getting good sleep.
  6. Know your allergies. There are some people who love to eat dairy or too much rice and sweets experience breakouts. Others don’t.

Alex’s own skin-care regimen

Alex also shared, “for my skin-type which is oily, I use an antibacterial or anti-acne soap especially that we wear mask for long periods of time. Personally, my skin is ‘hiyang’ to AcneCure soap and Khiel’s Calendula Facial wash. After washing my face with either a mild cleanser, Khiel’s Calendula Foam Wash or the AcneCure soap, I use Nature Republic’s Aloe Vera gel. Sometimes, I use a toner before putting Aloe Vera after but only when my skin feels really itchy or sensitive. I use Aloe Vera as my go-to moisturizer. It has a cooling effect and has no oils which is great for my skintype. After I moisturize, I put on Kiehl’s Corrective/ Brightening serum. Then I make sure to apply ample amount of oil-control sunscreen from Bioré before putting on makeup. It acts as a primer too.

So we hope these skin-care tricks offer you a sense of how flight attendants keep their skin in good condition. Grooming is critical in the airline business since flight attendants serve as brand representatives. They are the airline’s first point of contact with the passengers on board. They must effectively represent the airline’s brand.
