Philippine Airlines (PAL) is sticking with Lufthansa Technik for engine maintenance. The two companies recently inked a three-year contract that kicks in from 2024. This deal focuses on the upkeep of eight CFM56-5B engines, part of PAL’s A320ceo fleet.
A Renewed Commitment to Quality
This isn’t the first time PAL and Lufthansa Technik have teamed up. They already have existing agreements for Total Component Support (TCS) for PAL’s Boeing 777 fleet. Plus, Lufthansa Technik’s subsidiary in the Philippines provides Base Maintenance Services (BMS) for the airline. So, renewing the partnership for engine maintenance was a no-brainer.
PAL recognizes Lufthansa Technik’s proven track record in the field. William G. Tan, PAL Vice President of Procurement & Logistics, had only good things to say. “Lufthansa Technik is a very reliable partner who ensures that our aircraft engines remain in optimal condition. Thanks to their technical capabilities and innovative solutions, they can significantly extend the life of our engines.”
What Makes Lufthansa Technik Stand Out
Lufthansa Technik brings a lot to the table. They have state-of-the-art facilities and a team of seasoned engineers and technicians. This means they can offer top-notch engine maintenance services. They focus on minimizing downtime and making sure PAL’s fleet performs at its best.
Dennis Kohr, Senior Vice President Corporate Sales Asia Pacific at Lufthansa Technik, expressed his gratitude. “We are delighted and very grateful that Philippine Airlines has chosen us as their engine maintenance partner again. We take this as an opportunity to further strengthen our long-lasting partnership and are committed to delivering outstanding results for Philippine Airlines.”
