PAL Adds Cebu – Laoag Route to Its Growing Network

Philippine Airlines (PAL) is introducing a new route between Cebu and Laoag starting December 15, 2023. This move is part of PAL’s ongoing mission to improve connectivity across the Philippines. The airline aims to make travel easier and more convenient for both tourists and business travelers.

Flight Details and Schedule

PAL will offer twice-weekly flights for this new route, making it easier for people to plan their trips. The flights will operate every Tuesday and Friday. The Cebu to Laoag flight, PR 2251, will depart at 07:35 AM and arrive at 10:05 AM. The return flight, PR 2252 from Laoag to Cebu, will take off at 10:25 AM and land at 12:35 PM. The airline will use its De Havilland Dash 8-400 Next Generation aircraft for these flights, which has 86 seats, including six Comfort Class seats.

Captain Stanley K. Ng, PAL President & Chief Operating Officer, expressed enthusiasm about the new route. He said, “We welcome the holiday season with a historic air link between Cebu and Laoag City. This brand-new service will help us open up a new market for tourist and business travelers by connecting the Ilocos Region via nonstop flights to Cebu, and beyond to other cities in the Visayas and Mindanao.” He also mentioned that this is part of PAL’s broader plan to expand its domestic network and offer more flights from its Mactan-Cebu hub in the coming months.

This isn’t the first time PAL has worked to connect different regions of the Philippines. The airline also operates four weekly flights between Cebu and Baguio, a route that was launched in December 2022. Additionally, PAL ran two special flights between Cebu and Laoag in May 2023 to support the Himala Sa Buhangin Festival in Laoag.
