Philippine Airlines (PAL) will add daily flights between Manila and Cauayan, Isabela, starting January 15, 2025. This new service gives residents of Northern Luzon an alternative to the long 10-hour drive between Manila and Cauayan, making travel quicker and more convenient. The one-hour flights aim to support both local tourism and economic activities.
The new PAL route will operate every day, with flights departing from Manila at 1:25 PM and arriving in Cauayan by 2:30 PM. For those returning to Manila, flights will leave Cauayan at 3:25 PM and land in Manila at 4:40 PM. The airline will use its 86-seater De Havilland Dash 8-400 Next Generation aircraft for these flights.
According to PAL Express President Rabbi Vincent Ang, “We will welcome 2025 with our new Manila-Cauayan-Manila service, commencing on January 15th, 2025.” He added that PAL is committed to serving the people of Isabela and appreciates the support of the local government in making this new route possible. The airline will provide its “Buong Pusong Alaga” service, ensuring a comfortable and pleasant experience for passengers.
Supporting Tourism and Economic Growth
This new route strengthens connections between key cities in Luzon, benefiting local businesses and tourism in Isabela. Cauayan, the gateway to the province, is known for its agricultural economy and cultural heritage. PAL’s service will make it easier for travelers to experience Isabela’s vibrant festivals, such as the annual Bambanti Festival and Gawagaway-yan events, as well as explore the region’s cultural and agricultural attractions.
These new flights also provide travelers with more options for domestic and international connections. PAL operates numerous routes from its Manila hub, making it easier for passengers from Cauayan to reach other destinations across the Philippines and abroad.
Passengers flying this new route can also take advantage of PAL’s wide network of flights to Asia, the Middle East, and other regions. This addition to PAL’s network not only provides greater convenience for residents of Cauayan but also boosts the province’s accessibility to visitors from different parts of the country and beyond.
