Philippine Airlines (PAL) is adding more domestic routes from Cebu to various destinations in Luzon and Mindanao.
New Routes and Schedules
Starting December 15, 2023, PAL will offer daily flights from Cebu to General Santos City and Legazpi’s Bicol International Airport in Daraga, Albay. The Cebu to General Santos flight will depart at 02:30 PM and arrive at 03:50 PM. The return flight from General Santos to Cebu will take off at 04:20 PM and land at 05:40 PM. For those heading to Legazpi, the flight will leave Cebu at 06:00 PM and arrive at 07:10 PM. The return flight departs Legazpi at 07:30 PM and arrives in Cebu at 08:40 PM.
A day later, on December 16, 2023, PAL will also resume its Cebu to Ozamiz City route with three flights a week. These flights will operate every Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday. The Cebu to Ozamiz flight will depart at 07:35 AM and arrive at 08:40 AM. The return flight will leave Ozamiz at 09:00 AM and land in Cebu at 10:00 AM.
More Than Just New Routes
PAL President & Chief Operating Officer Captain Stanley K. Ng expressed excitement about the new routes. He said, “We look forward to flying more passengers and creating more healthy connections through the resumption of our Cebu-General Santos, Cebu-Legazpi and Cebu-Ozamiz routes, in time for the peak holiday season.” He also mentioned that these routes would make it easier for residents of General Santos, Legazpi, and Ozamiz to connect to other domestic destinations like Iloilo, Bacolod, Tacloban, Davao, and Busuanga. International connections to places like Bangkok, Tokyo Narita, and Seoul Incheon will also be more convenient.
Comfort on Board
All these new flights will use the De Havilland DHC-8-400 Next Generation aircraft. This plane offers 86 seats, including six Comfort Class seats for those who want a bit more legroom during their journey.
PAL is expanding its domestic flight offerings from Cebu, making holiday travel more convenient for many Filipinos. With new daily flights to General Santos and Legazpi starting December 15, and thrice-weekly flights to Ozamiz City resuming on December 16, the airline is set to make holiday travel easier and more accessible.
