AirAsia Philippines recently signed an official partnership agreement with ABS-CBN Foundation Inc. (AFI) for various future CSR activities and sustainable projects. The partnership, dubbed as “alwaysREDy: Pilipino para sa Pilipino” aims to uplift the lives of underprivileged Filipino families through its various campaigns on disaster preparedness, women and children protection, environmental sustainability and community support.
The official signing of partnership was held last July 15 at the AirAsia Philippines RedPoint Office. This was attended by AirAsia CEO Ricky Isla, SuperApp Managing Director Ray Berja, Head of Communications and Public Affairs Steve Dailisan, ABS-CBN Foundation Managing Director Roberta Lopez-Feliciano and Marketing and Donor Relations Head Paul Mercado.
Through this partnership, ABS-CBN Foundation and its beneficiaries will be provided free seats on board all AirAsia Philippines’ domestic flights. Cargo space will also be allocated for AFI to aid disaster-stricken areas.
Since many AirAsia flight crew members such as pilots and cabin crew are also Philippine Air Force reservists under the 1st air lift wing reserve, AirAsia has committed to augment manpower requirements during disaster relief efforts.
