I ask cabin crew aspirants, can you imagine yourself saying your “flying with you” one day? I am pretty sure that the thought of you saying “flying with you” somehow brings some excitement, right? It does motivate you to pursue your dream to be a flight attendant and I do want you to keep that up. Always remember that every flight attendant out there was once in your shoes. They were dreamers who imagined themselves flying one day.
How many times have you imagined yourself in a uniform one day, saying “flying with you” to a colleague, then entering the aircraft doing standard procedures, welcoming passengers, doing standard safety checks and procedures, and so much more? If you do imagine yourself and if you imagine yourself, that’s good because doing so will help build your motivation.
As you see, it is not easy to become a cabin crew. It takes a lot of dedication, hard work, sleepless nights, rejections (for a number of you), tears, adjustments, and lessons. Sometimes, you may not be able to get it in one go but as long as you keep focused on your goal and you keep that motivation running, you will get to your cabin crew dream.
It’s not only about the quantity but also the quality
We have also reiterated that trying and trying to apply is not enough by itself. It is also about the quality of each trial, every time you would go out for an interview with hopes of turning your flight attendant dream into a reality. Was the recent application better than the previous? Did you improve the way you talk? Did you carry yourself better? Were you more confident?
Staying motivated is good but you also have to motivate yourself to improve. Whenever you imagine yourself as a flight attendant in uniform and at work, try to also imagine a new and reinvented you. Imagine a more confident, better looking, and more selfless you. Imagine yourself making the airline standards for flight attendants.
Stay motivated, keep imagining and picture yourself as a flight attendant one day. Let that be your motivation to push and push yourself to earn your wings one day. You will have that day, for as long as you deserve it. Imagine yourself saying “flying with you”, and hopefully soon, you will be saying the same thing, to your new flying colleagues.
