Korean Air Boosts Winter Flights and Adds New Destinations

Korean Air is gearing up for the winter travel season with a bunch of new flights and increased services. The airline is not only resuming flights to China and Japan but also launching a new daily service to Phu Quoc, Vietnam. With these changes, Korean Air aims to meet the rising travel demand and recover its seat capacity to over 90% of what it was before the pandemic.

New Daily Flights to Vietnam’s Pearl Island

Starting November 26, Korean Air will fly every day to Phu Quoc, Vietnam. Known as the “Pearl Island,” Phu Quoc is Vietnam’s largest island and a UNESCO biosphere reserve. The flight will take off from Seoul Incheon at 3:45 pm and land in Phu Quoc at 7:50 pm. The return flight will leave Phu Quoc at 9:20 pm and get back to Seoul Incheon the next day at 4:50 am. November is the best time to visit Phu Quoc as it marks the beginning of the dry season, making it an ideal destination for those looking to soak up some sun.

Back in the Skies Over China and Japan

Korean Air is resuming its services to three cities each in China and Japan after a pause of three years and seven months. The airline will operate daily flights on the Busan-Shanghai and Seoul Incheon-Xiamen routes, and four flights a week on the Seoul Incheon-Kunming route. This move comes especially after China resumed group tours to 78 countries, including Korea, Japan, and the U.S., in August.

In Japan, Korean Air will restart flights from Seoul Incheon to Kagoshima, Niigata, and Okayama with three flights a week starting in late October. This will give travelers more options to explore smaller Japanese cities that offer unique experiences.

Korean Air is also increasing flight frequencies to several key destinations. In China, the Seoul Incheon-Beijing route will go from daily to 18 times a week. The airline is also adding more flights to other Chinese cities like Shenzhen, Xian, Wuhan, and Hong Kong.

In Japan, Korean Air is adding more flights on the Seoul Incheon-Osaka and Seoul Incheon-Fukuoka routes. The airline is also increasing its services in Southeast Asia, Oceania, and North America. For instance, the Seoul Incheon-Auckland and Seoul Incheon-Brisbane routes will have daily flights from November 10 to March 18 next year.
