AirAsia Philippines Gears Up for Busy Undas Travel

AirAsia Philippines is all set to make your travel smooth and punctual for the upcoming All Souls and All Saints Day holidays or Undas season. The airline is working closely with the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) to ensure everything runs like clockwork at NAIA Terminal 2.

Prepping for the Holiday Rush

Ricky Isla, Chief Executive Officer of AirAsia Philippines, and Bryan Co, the Officer in Charge at MIAA, recently did a walkthrough of the terminal. They checked out the AirAsia check-in counters, customer happiness counters, and boarding gates. The walkthrough is part of a bigger plan to make sure everything goes smoothly during the busy travel period.

AirAsia Philippines is expecting to operate over 700 domestic flights and carry more than 90,000 guests from October 27 to November 1. That’s an 8% increase compared to the same time last year. The flights to all domestic destinations are almost full, with a passenger load averaging between 90-93%.

Extra Measures for Customer Convenience

To handle the extra passengers, AirAsia Philippines isn’t just relying on its regular 20 check-in counters. The airline has also activated four customer happiness counters to quickly sort out any issues travelers might have. Plus, there are four self check-in kiosks for those who don’t have any check-in baggage, making the process faster and contactless.

Ricky Isla assures that the airline has put in extra effort to make the holiday travel as smooth as possible. “We have activated all and even augmented our ground operations staff to man the check-in counters without breaks,” he said. The airline is also ending October with a strong 90% on-time performance.

Tips for Travelers

With the long weekend and the holidays lining up, the airline expects more people to head to the provinces. AirAsia Philippines advises passengers to plan ahead and arrive at the airport at least 3 to 4 hours before their scheduled flight.

AirAsia Philippines is pulling out all the stops to make sure travelers have a smooth and on-time journey during Undas or All Souls and All Saints Day holidays. From extra check-in counters to strong on-time performance, the airline is well-prepared for the holiday rush.
