Philippine Airlines’ flights between Manila to New York have ranked 6th as the world’s longest routes flown by commercial airlines. According to a report from Business Insider, this ranking is based on distance flown by Business Insider. PAL utilizes its Airbus A350-900 for its direct non-stop flights from Manila to New York. It is also the only airline worldwide that flies between Manila and New York directly.

PAL flies to New York from Manila non-stop four times a week, but some days the flight stops at Vancouver due to airspace closure concerns.

The distance from Manila to New York directly is 8,520 miles using the great circle mapper. PAL covers this route in usually in 15 hours 20 minutes from Manila to New York, and 16 hours 45 minutes from New York to Manila directly. This is as long as Qantas’ Perth to London Heathrow route!

The Airbus A350-900 has a range of 9,320 miles, depending on the seat configuration and capacity of the aircraft. PAL flight PR126 from Manila to New York began in October 2018 and continues to this day.
