Delta is preparing a major cabin upgrade that will start with its Airbus A350-1000 and extend to its Airbus A330-200 and A330-300 fleet. The airline said the plan is worth more than $1 billion and will bring a new Delta One suite, upgraded seats in every cabin, and a more consistent onboard look across future aircraft deliveries and existing jets being refreshed.
The new Delta One suite will debut on Delta’s A350-1000, which is expected to arrive in early 2027. Delta said the aircraft will have a 50% premium seat mix and will become its newest and largest aircraft. The airline is also adding Delta One suites with privacy doors to its A330-200 and A330-300 fleet for the first time.
“Every time a customer boards a Delta flight, the experience and surroundings should feel familiar — creating a sense of home and comfort when you’re away,” said Mauricio Parise, vice president of Brand Experience. “That was the driving factor behind every intentional design feature and investment we made in developing our brand new A350-1000 experience, which we extended through nose-to-tail upgrades of our A330-200/300s and will continue to roll out across our fleet.”

Delta One gets longer beds, bigger screens, and more privacy
Delta said the new Delta One suite was shaped by years of customer feedback and research with SkyMiles members and employees. The seat includes a flat bed that is more than three inches longer, a new pillow-top cushion over memory foam, extra storage for personal items, wireless charging, and a 24-inch screen, which Delta says is the largest it has offered.
The A350-1000 layout will use a reverse-herringbone design, with window seats facing outward and center seats featuring a sliding divider for passengers traveling together. Delta is also adding a refreshment station for Delta One passengers on both the A350-1000 and the upgraded A330-200 and A330-300 aircraft.
“Customers are clear that comfort is their number one priority when flying Delta One — 97% say Delta’s flat-bed is the reason for choosing the cabin,” said Parise. “This led us to a new design that, when combined with our current mattress pad and luxury bedding from Missoni, makes for an incomparable sleep at 30,000 feet.”

Delta is also upgrading every other cabin
The investment does not stop with Delta One. Delta said its Delta Comfort and Delta Main cabins on the A350-1000 and A330-200 and A330-300 will get a new seat design with one more inch of legroom, memory foam cushions, USB-C ports, international AC power outlets, bigger seatback screens with 4K QLED resolution, and Bluetooth capability.
The airline also said it is building in more accessibility features after working with its Advisory Board on Disability and Accessible Travel. These include new tactile seat controls, tactile lavatory features, and a dedicated accessible lavatory with more space for passengers with reduced mobility.
Delta said the wider cabin design follows the newer onboard look it introduced in 2025, which it plans to apply to more than 800 aircraft over the next five years. The airline also expects 90% of Delta One seats to be suites with sliding privacy doors by 2030.

“The experience is designed to be deeply human-centric, with every inch within the aircraft created to provide top-notch comfort and connectivity,” said Parise. “As we expand our network into Asia, Africa, the Middle East and beyond, these aircraft ensure we have the right capacity, efficiency and experience our customers want on Delta.”
