AirAsia and Duty-Free Team Up for Discounts and Promos

Starting this September, AirAsia Philippines is rolling out a new promo that’s all about giving you more for your money. If you’re flying with AirAsia, you can now get up to 5% off on all your shopping at three Duty-Free stores: Fiestamall, Luxe, and NAIA T3. But that’s not all. Every time you spend $200 on duty-free items, you get a raffle entry for the “Free Flights Fiesta.”

More Than Just a Promo

AirAsia Philippines and Duty-Free Philippines made it official with a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing on September 1, 2023. Ricky Isla, the CEO of AirAsia Philippines, said, “We hope that this exercise will add an extra level of excitement to reunions, especially since we expect some 1.7 million tourist arrivals until December. This is also timely especially since most of our local and international destinations have started to pick up for the final quarter of 2023.”

On the other side, Duty-Free COO Vico Angala emphasized the importance of the partnership. He said, “Our goal is clear, to offer a seamless and exclusive duty-free shopping privilege that enhances the overall travel experience of AirAsia’s guests.”

The “Free Flights Fiesta” raffle isn’t just a one-time thing. It will happen four times between October 5, 2023, and January 5, 2024. The prize? A round-trip ticket to Tokyo and Seoul, valid for one year.

AirAsia is gearing up for a busy end of the year. Top domestic destinations like Caticlan, Tagbilaran, and Cebu are already getting a lot of bookings. On the international front, Bangkok, Osaka, and Narita are the hot spots. Ricky Isla added, “This positive reception from our guests will help us jumpstart our goal of growing our market share next year.”

AirAsia Philippines is also expanding its flight operations. They’re now offering flights to 27 domestic and international destinations from Manila, five from Cebu, and one from Clark, totaling 400 weekly flights.

If you’re planning to fly with AirAsia, make sure to arrive at the airport three hours before a domestic flight and four hours before an international one. For the latest updates, you can check out AirAsia’s social media accounts or their fly safe page.
