AirAsia Philippines is all set to join the annual Kadayawan Festival in Davao City, marking its third consecutive year of participation in the Pamulak sa Kadayawan Floral Float Parade on August 20. The airline’s involvement in this event is not just a celebration but a strong commitment to promoting tourism and the rich heritage of the region.
AirAsia Philippines Head for Communications and Public Affairs and First Officer Steve Dailisan expressed the airline’s dedication, saying, “AirAsia values the importance of these events in preserving and showcasing the rich heritage of each AirAsia destination. Supporting local cultural and festival events like this is a commitment to promoting tourism, as we continue to provide affordable and convenient travel options that enable our guests to have a once-in-a-lifetime festive experience.”
The airline’s continuous support for low-cost travel could help the Davao City Tourism Office reach its goal of attracting approximately 1.8 million visitors this year. This effort aims to revitalize the city’s tourism sector, especially now that the Philippines has officially exited the state of national health emergency.
A Grand Parade and Exciting Deals
AirAsia’s Allstar pilots, cabin crew, ground staff, and two of this generation’s brightest stars, Michelle Vito and Thea Tolentino, are expected to grace the streets of Davao City with a grand parade float. This float will showcase the vibrant and diverse culture of the region, adding color and excitement to the festivities.
To further entice travelers, AirAsia is offering another round of its P1SO Sale! From August 18 to 27, 2023, guests can grab a chance to fly to popular destinations such as Davao, Cagayan De Oro, Caticlan, Roxas City, and even international destinations like Osaka and Seoul. The one-way base fare for these travels, scheduled from February 19, 2024, to June 19, 2025, is as low as PHP1.
AirAsia’s Commitment to Affordable Travel
AirAsia’s PISO sale and the recently concluded 8’s a SALE are expected to cushion the effect of the Civil Aeronautics Board’s (CAB) recent advisory on the fuel surcharge Level 6 increase. This surcharge means that guests purchasing tickets next month may expect an additional charge for both domestic and international flights.
Despite this, AirAsia Philippines remains committed to its guests. “AirAsia Philippines will adhere to the Civil Aeronautics Board’s advisory on fuel surcharges. However, as a pioneer in low-cost air travel, we will continue to strengthen our commitment to offering our guests the best value, as well as the safest and fastest way of connecting to their loved ones. We also invite our guests to avail of ongoing promos and book their flights early, especially for future travels,” Dailisan added.
AirAsia Philippines also advises its guests to visit the AirAsia travel safety website for all travel advisories and other information regarding flight schedules.
