It has been barely 10 days since we entered 2023, and an airline recently announced that they will be hiring more flight attendants within the month. The first airline to announce a cabin crew recruitment day for 2023 is AirAsia Philippines. As I have previously mentioned in the past, airlines can hire flight attendants as early as January of this year and it is now about to happen.
AirAsia Philippines’ cabin crew recruitment event is happening on January 21, Saturday, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, to be held at the NAIA Terminal 3, MIAA Function Hall. The event is a walk-in application, hence, all you have to do is to bring the requirements stated below.
Requirements to be an AirAsia cabin crew
- Updated resume / CV
- Copy of valid passport (at least 1 year)
- Full body photo
- Headshot photo
I would also like to advise all those who will be applying to make sure that you declare all your previous work experience (if applicable). Do not hide any of your previous jobs as airlines have a way of verifying the veracity of your resume. All your previous jobs will appear on your SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-Ibig records and the airline’s HR department has to access these to update your benefits.
They will be able to find discrepancies between what’s on record and what you placed on your CVs. So do not misrepresent. It can cause you even bigger problems.
Qualifications to be an AirAsia cabin crew
Please do take note of the qualifications to become an AirAsia Philippines Allstar cabin crew:
- Willing to be based outside Metro Manila, particularly in Clark, Cebu, and Kalibo.
- With a clear complexion and a good set of teeth.
- Height requirement of 160cm for females and 170cm for males.
- At least a senior high school graduate.
- Fluent in English and in Filipino language. Being multi-lingual is an advantage
Is it okay to still try even if you are not within one of the qualifications? Honestly, there is no harm in trying. In fact, you gain experience and lessons should you not make the cut. I think this is not a waste of time because the lessons and experience gained will prove valuable in the future. Plus, you will never know until you try.
