AirAsia Philippines sees a better performance this 2023

AirAsia Philippines is ending 2022 on a high note and expects to outperform expectations in 2023, thanks to increasing load factor and forward reservations.

The World’s Best Low-Cost Airlines has a load factor of 93% as of December 19. The highest performing domestic travel destinations are Zamboanga (98% load factor), Puerto Princesa (95% load factor), and Roxas (95% load factor). Bangkok, on the other hand, led the list of most booked overseas destinations with a 92% load rate, followed by Incheon with a 90% load factor.

Meanwhile, forward bookings for the month of January 2023 have already reached 285,000, a 70% increase over tickets sold in the same month in 2022.

AirAsia Philippines Chief Executive Officer Ricky Isla shares, “We are seeing a robust travel demand next year, especially as travelers now become more comfortable with locking their trips ahead of time.  A more relaxed protocol for international destinations has also set the pace for outbound travel which we expect  to pick up  next year as we open new exciting destinations.”

AirAsia Philippines is extending its “Low Fare Holideals” promotion through January 8, 2023, in order to encourage more customers to visit their favorite places. Guests may book a ticket to any AirAsia local or international destination for as little as Php112 one-way till 30 June 2023.

The cost of airfare is also expected to change somewhat next month, as the Level 7 fuel fee is set to go into force on January 15, 2023. With a Level 7 fuel surcharge, customers flying in January will only be paid a fuel cost ranging from Php219 to Php708 for domestic flights and from Php722.71 to Php1,124.26 for international flights, depending on the distance.

AirAsia Philippines reminds guests that all Cebu and Caticlan (Boracay) flights will now depart and land at the NAIA Terminal 3 alongside international planes. Meanwhile, all domestic flights would continue to operate from NAIA Terminal 4.
