Cebu Pacific and Singapore Tourism Board Strengthen Partnership

Cebu Pacific has renewed its partnership with the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) to enhance travel opportunities to Singapore. This renewal took place on June 6, 2024, and underscores key initiatives aimed at boosting travel and tourism between the two regions.

The renewed memorandum of understanding (MOU) focuses on several key areas, including promoting Singapore as a top travel destination and encouraging Filipinos to explore Singapore’s vibrant events calendar. The partnership introduces new travel concepts such as “Fly, Stay and Cruise” holidays, which are designed to attract more Filipino travelers to Singapore. Additionally, the collaboration will feature a travel film showcasing Singapore’s innovative architecture, rich cultural heritage, and unique experiences, starring celebrity couple Megan Young and Mikael Daez as the campaign’s newest ambassadors.

The Philippines emerged as Singapore’s sixth-largest source market for tourism in the previous year, with nearly 700,000 tourist arrivals, marking an 81% increase from 2022. Candice Iyog, Cebu Pacific’s Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer, expressed gratitude for the renewed partnership, stating, “This collaboration not only aligns with Cebu Pacific’s commitment to provide accessible and affordable flights but also contributes significantly to bolstering Singapore’s tourism industry by attracting more visitors from the Philippines, fostering cultural exchange, and promoting economic growth.”
