Cebu Pacific Expands Davao Hub with New Routes

Just a few days ago, I posted about Cebu Pacific adding flights from Iloilo to Hong Kong. This was then followed by an announcement of new flights from Manila to Chiang Mai. Continuing its regional expansion, Cebu Pacific is set to launch new international and domestic flights from Davao. Starting October 28, 2024, the airline will introduce direct flights from Davao to Bangkok, marking a significant enhancement to its service offerings in Mindanao.

The airline’s expansion from Davao reinforces its commitment to providing convenient and affordable travel options for Filipinos, making it easier for them to explore both domestic and international destinations.

New Routes from Davao

The new international route to Bangkok-Don Mueang Airport will operate three times a week, providing travelers from Davao with a direct connection to Thailand’s bustling capital. This new route opens up exciting opportunities for passengers to explore Bangkok’s vibrant street life, indulge in its renowned markets, and experience the city’s rich cultural heritage. Travelers can look forward to sampling authentic Thai dishes like Pad Thai and Tom Yum Goong, and visiting iconic sites such as the Grand Palace, Wat Arun, and the Floating Market.

In addition to the international route, Cebu Pacific is also launching several new domestic routes from Davao. Beginning on October 27, 2024, the airline will offer daily flights from Davao to Caticlan and Puerto Princesa. These routes will provide Davao residents with easier access to popular destinations like the white sand beaches of Boracay and the natural wonders of Puerto Princesa.

Enhancing Travel Accessibility

“We are excited to restore international flights and operate additional domestic routes from our hub in Mindanao,” said Xander Lao, Cebu Pacific’s President and Chief Commercial Officer. “Through Cebu Pacific’s extensive network and value-for-money fares, more travelers from Davao will now be able to discover what the Philippines and the rest of the world have to offer.”

The launch of these new routes is part of Cebu Pacific’s ongoing efforts to make air travel more accessible and affordable for travelers across the Philippines. The airline is known for its extensive network, which currently covers 35 domestic and 26 international destinations across Asia, Australia, and the Middle East.

To celebrate the launch of these new routes, Cebu Pacific is offering a special seat sale until August 15, 2024. Passengers can book flights on these additional routes for as low as PHP 1 one-way base fare, exclusive of fees and charges. The travel period for this promotion runs from October 21, 2024, to March 31, 2025.
