Cebu Pacific has now restored 88% of its pre-pandemic capacity

The race towards restoring pre-pandemic capacity is indeed heating up for our local airlines. As revenge travel among Filipinos is causing a huge surge in travel demand, airlines are slowly restoring flights to pre-pandemic levels. Cebu Pacific is one of them they have already restored 88% of its pre-pandemic capacity.

This goes for both domestic and international routes.

Cebu Pacific keeps increasing its capacity that they are currently flying 340 flights per day to 34 domestic and 18 international destinations.

So what do I mean by these numbers

At 340 flights per day, it means that Cebu Pacific was able to successfully restore 100% of its domestic capacity last April of this year. They have even surpassed its pre-pandemic capacity, which is now at 109% this July 2022.

“We are pleased to see more people confidently flying again, not just within the Philippines but even abroad. This positive development has not only allowed us to carry more passengers, but also boosted our cargo service.”

Hiring more flight attendants

Just recently, Cebu Pacific opened its doors for new flight attendants, regardless of experience or none. The airline hired more flight attendants as they continue to ramp up its operations. The need for more flight attendants is vital for the airline’s goals of surpassing pre-pandemic levels. Add also the fact that some of its present crew, including newly rehired ones, have decided to move to a foreign carrier.

To prevent any flight disruption due to a lack of manpower, Cebu Pacific went on in hiring a multitude of flight attendants. Having more crew members will allow the airline to continue with its expansion without having to worry about manpower shortages.

Cebu Pacific has also restored commercial flights between Manila and Sydney Australia utilizing their Airbus A330-900neo aircraft.
