Emirates Expands Meal Preordering to More Routes

Emirates has rolled out its meal preordering service to 92 routes around the world. Starting today, 30 new routes including Riyadh, Jeddah, Delhi, Mumbai, and Kuala Lumpur will offer this service. The airline has already delivered more than 10,000 preordered meals on over 3,000 flights. On a daily basis, Emirates receives more than 600 meal preorders from its customers.

A Closer Look at the Preordering Service

This new feature is available for Business Class passengers, who can now choose their main course between 14 days and 24 hours before their flight takes off. This ensures that passengers get the meal they want and also helps to cut down on food waste. The top picks so far include pan-fried beef tenderloin with thyme jus and grilled beef tenderloin with creamy wild mushroom sauce. For breakfast, the cheddar cheese and chive omelette is a hit.

The airline also offers website and app check-in, digital boarding passes, and digital inflight menus. Passengers can even sign up for Skywards to get free Wi-Fi messaging onboard and create their ice inflight entertainment playlist before the flight.

How It Works Onboard

Once you’re in the air, the cabin crew will use Apple devices to check your preordered meal and serve it to you. This service is an addition to Emirates’ existing AI-enabled customer preference tracking and cabin crew reports. These features help the airline plan menus, load the right amount of food, and minimize waste.

Emirates continues to enhance its in-flight services, now offering meal preordering on 92 global routes. This service not only guarantees that Business Class passengers get their preferred meal but also plays a role in reducing food waste. Alongside this, Emirates is integrating digital features to make the entire flight experience more convenient for its passengers.
