Emirates Group Setting to go on a Global Talent Hunt

After a fruitful recruitment period, the Emirates Group is again setting sail on an ambitious global talent hunt. Their target? To populate over 180 diverse positions throughout the company, implementing open days and a series of events spread across six continents in search of the ideal candidates. If you’ve been considering a career with the Emirates Group, now could be the perfect time to make your move.

A Look Back at the Successful Hiring Year

The preceding fiscal year was a busy time for Emirates Group, successfully bringing 17,160 new employees onboard. This achievement boosted its total workforce to about 102,000 individuals. The SVP of HR at the Emirates Group, Oliver Grohmann, noted, “In the last fiscal year, we received around 2.7 million applications globally for roles across the organization. People aspire to be part of the Group’s growth story and its ambitions, as well as work and live in Dubai, one of the world’s safest, most cosmopolitan, and dynamic cities.”

Seeking Pilots for the Frontline

Particularly noteworthy in this recruitment drive is Emirates Group’s search for pilots. The Group is planning pilot open days in the UK and Ireland to happen in August. This comes after an online seminar set for July 19th. The event focuses on recruiting Airbus A380 Direct Entry Captains, experienced Airbus Captains for its Accelerated Command program, and First Officers with multi-engine, multi-crew aircraft experience.

Recruitment Techniques

Quick and Efficient For the recruitment of cabin crew, a critical aspect of the campaign, the company has planned both open days and invitation-only events across six continents. Committed to a fast and efficient hiring process, Emirates promises to wrap up recruitment within a day and provide feedback to candidates within 48 hours. Grohmann elaborated on the recruitment strategy saying, “We use the latest technologies like digital assessments, artificial intelligence, and other top-notch recruitment systems to shortlist, select, and respond to candidates in the most efficient and effective ways.”

The Full Scope of the Hiring Agenda

In addition to pilots and cabin crew, the Emirates Group is also looking for engineers, IT professionals, and customer service agents at both Emirates and dnata. This emphasizes the group’s commitment to continue to grow and diversify its workforce.

Regrettably, as of now, Emirates has not launched any recruitment initiatives in the Philippines. The most recent recruitment effort was for the Cabin Services Assistant, or CSA role, and that occurred earlier this year. It’s my hope that Emirates will soon unveil more job opportunities for Filipinos. According to a 2022 survey, more hopefuls prefer to pursue a cabin crew career with Emirates over other Middle Eastern airlines, such as Qatar Airways.
