The national airline of the United Arab Emirates, Etihad, has announced on its website that it is hiring more flight attendants! If you will even check their official website’s cabin crew career section, you will notice that they have assessment centers worldwide. Now only one question remains. Will Etihad hire flight attendants from the Philippines?
As of this writing, Etihad is recruiting from 66 different places including Abu Dhabi itself. This includes countries in Asia, Europe, North America, and Oceania.
Asia-Pacific countries currently include Japan, Thailand, India, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Malaysia, and South Korea.
Qualifications and requirements
Here is the list of qualifications and requirements in order to become an Etihad flight attendant:
- Minimum High School certification or any higher education
- Fluent English verbal and written comprehension; another language is an additional benefit
- Must be at least 21 years old on the date of joining
- Confident in water and be able to swim with the aid of a flotation device
- Able to reach 212 cm without shoes
- No tattoos or body piercing (exception for one earring in the lower lobe of each ear for females only) that would be visible whilst wearing the Etihad uniform (bandages and cosmetic coverings are not permitted)
- No criminal record
- Excellent personal presentation, style and image
- Willing to serve alcohol, including during the holy month of Ramadan
- Willing to comply with UAE and GCAA visa, medical and health screening requirements
How to become a cabin crew of Etihad
So let’s see how many of you made it reading to this point. Well to become a cabin crew member of Etihad, the most obvious answer is to apply. But how?
Based on what is written on Etihad’s official website, you will also need to apply online and check from this list if the country you are in is included. If it is, then just follow all necessary instructions given.
However, if your country is not included like the Philippines, you might want to try to send it to Etihad online by going to their official website career section to apply there. Is it guaranteed that Etihad will hire from the Philippines? No commitments and no guarantees. Until there is an official announcement, then just be ready for anything.
