Flight attendants are extremely proud of their jobs and careers

Any of them will tell you the same thing. These flight attendants are extremely pleased with their jobs and careers. Is there evidence of this? Even after flying, they still consider themselves “flight attendants”. Once a flight attendant, always a flight attendant, as the saying goes.

This mindset is what binds them all together. In fact, regardless of which airline, when cabin crew members see each other in airports, especially in uniform, they smile and greet each other. Cabin crew members from various airlines will occasionally gather for a photo opportunity.

Flight attendants defend one another, especially when an outsider disparages the job of a cabin crew member.

I’ll now go over the reasons why flight attendants are so proud of their jobs.

Here are some of the reasons why flight attendants are proud of their jobs:

  1. They represent their country to the rest of the world. Notice how cabin crew members walk in unison and with dignity in airports and hotel lobbies around the world, and people simply turn their heads? This is because they are extremely proud to represent their home country to the rest of the world. It’s as if they have an invisible sign in their shirts that says, “I am a proud Filipino.”
  2. They realize that if they had followed the same study habits they did during cabin crew training, they could have been college scholars. That entails reading and memorizing materials totaling over a thousand pages in just two months, with an overall passing grade of 90%! That is nearly one semester of college! Only a few are capable of doing so!
  3. It’s even harder than getting into Harvard. We’ve seen cabin crew lines at Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific, and Philippines Air Asia open days. The average number of applicants per airline ranges from 1,000 to 8,000, but how many are accepted? On average, this would be between 50 and 500 people. That’s not even a tenth of the total number of applicants who want to be admitted!
  4. They wear a uniform that cost the airline millions of dollars. It’s not just any old uniform; airlines spend a lot of money designing uniforms that look good on their cabin crew. They even hire popular designers to design them, buy the best materials from around the world, and each uniform is meticulously produced.
  5. Enough said! They are trained to save lives! Behind those glamorous uniforms is a person willing to risk their own life to ensure the safety of his or her passengers, and flight attendants are very proud of this. They are similar to soldiers, firefighters, police officers, nurses, and doctors in that their badges or nameplates represent people ready to save lives.
  6. They get paid to travel around the world. Breakfast in Singapore, lunch in Japan, and dinner in New York; that is, in essence, the life of a cabin crew.

So, when you meet these flight attendants, know that they are very proud of their job. If you think they’re “just flight attendants,” consider how difficult it is to get that job given the number of people who want it.
