Many have dream of becoming a Philippine Airlines flight attendant but only a few make it in. Indeed, there is a certain prestige that one carries as a PAL cabin crew. A survey once showed that PAL is the most desired airline to be a flight attendant for. The majority of cabin crew aspirants do have that desire to become a PAL cabin crew one day.
However, becoming a Philippine Airlines flight attendant is not just about having a pretty face. It takes a certain type of person to be chosen amongst the thousands who have applied.
So now, many are asking what it takes to be a flight attendant on Philippine Airlines. Hope I’ll be able to briefly discuss that here.
Personality
You need to have a very pleasant personality. You need to be someone who smiles all the time and who has a positive aura. Also, you have to also be approachable. Seems they got no room for people with a negative mindset.
Character
Your integrity counts a lot. You will need to go through an integrity test before the actual training. You also have to embody the PAL values shown below.
Values
Being the heart of the Filipino, you have to embody the traits of being “magaling”, “magalang”, “maalaga”, “maaasahan”, and “malambing”, otherwise known as the 5 Ms.
Attitude
You have to be one person who is always open to learning new things. You have to be willing to be trained, to accept constructive criticisms positively, and you should be able to cope with stress easily.
Social and Interpersonal Skills
You have to be a sociable person and you have to put your customer’s needs first. You have to be able to adapt to different types of personalities also.
Communication Skills
You must have a good command of the English and Filipino language, both spoken and written. Your passengers have to understand what you are saying. Proficiency in other dialects and languages is a plus too!
The other necessary skills needed will be taught to you during training.
So if you have dreams of becoming a Philippine Airlines flight attendant one day, you now know what they look for in a cabin crew applicant.
First love never dies. I fell in love with airplanes and aviation when I was a kid. My dream was to become a pilot, but destiny led me to another path: to be an aviation digital media content creator and a small business owner. My passion for aviation inspires me to bring you quality content through my website and social accounts. Aviation is indeed in my blood and blog!
I would love to be a philipino flight attendant but I think language will be a barrier because I’m from a different country called Cameroon and I know very little about togalog😏
