Never Give-Up Until You Become a Flight Attendant

Never Give-Up Until You Become a Flight Attendant

I’ve shared numerous stories about flight attendants who’ve displayed great determination. Several of them faced rejection more than 20 times before finally succeeding. Hence, my mantra is to never give up on your goal of becoming a flight attendant. You never know how close you may be. Take, for example, a Cebu Pacific flight attendant who earned her wings after 16 attempts, 15 of which were rejections. Imagine if she’d given up after the 15th attempt.

Nevertheless, mere persistence isn’t sufficient. It’s crucial to adapt and grow.

Never Give-up Until You Become a Flight Attendant

Has an airline rejected you twice? Three times? Or even four? Have you been told, “sorry, you’re not suited to be a flight attendant?” Yes, these moments can be heartbreaking, but remember, you still have the potential to become a cabin crew member. Let’s recall the flight attendant who was rejected 15 times.

How did she achieve her goal? If you consider Dan’s story, she showed unwavering resolve. Deep down, she knew she was destined to be a flight attendant. Dan persisted until she finally joined the cabin crew.

Remember, success isn’t achieved overnight. It involves continuous growth, unwavering focus, extensive learning from experiences, and indeed, a lot of prayers.

Learn from Your Mistakes

The flight attendants who faced numerous rejections took their mistakes as lessons and continually improved themselves. Regardless of how many years you’ve been striving to become a flight attendant, if you don’t evolve and improve yourself, if you dismiss the guidance of those trying to help, your aspiration to be a flight attendant will remain an unfulfilled dream, akin to wishing to win the lottery without buying a ticket.

Every lesson learned must propel you to take action, which involves consistent self-improvement and persevering through failures. Each time these flight attendants received a “rejection slip”, they exerted great effort to better themselves and try again. Simply trying is insufficient; you must commit to continual self-development and strive to be the best version of yourself.

Take things positively and never blame your failures on others

Thirdly, it’s important to maintain a positive outlook and not attribute your failures to others. Embrace rejections as opportunities for growth, rather than viewing them negatively, such as blaming “the airline’s high standards.” In reality, being rejected can be painful, often coupled with a statement like “you are not fit to be a flight attendant,” but will you let this crush your dreams? Consider the story of flight attendant Ronnela Manlulu. She faced 22 rejections before finally achieving her goal of becoming a cabin crew. How did she manage to persevere without losing hope? She didn’t allow negative thoughts to overwhelm her dreams. Ronnela took her failures as lessons, using them to improve for future screenings. She never cast the blame on the airline, nor did she demand that they lower their standards to accommodate her. Instead, Ronnela chose to elevate her own standards to match the requirements of a cabin crew.

Have faith in yourself and in God. Never give-up on your flight attendant goal.

Fourth and finally, supplement all your efforts with faith and self-belief. To God, all things are possible, and if He witnesses your determination to become a cabin crew member, you will be rewarded in due time.

In the end, it’s not about the number of rejections you face, but rather how many times you bounce back from these setbacks, persisting until you achieve your ultimate goal: becoming a member of a cabin crew.
