Great news for all aspiring flight attendants, especially those who dream of working for Philippine Airlines. On their LinkedIn page, PAL announced that they’re hiring more flight attendants as they continue to expand operations beyond pre-pandemic levels. In a survey I conducted earlier, where I asked which airline you’d choose to work for as a flight attendant, the majority said Philippine Airlines. So, here’s your chance!
Based on the PAL LinkedIn announcement, here are the requirements and qualifications to become a PAL flight attendant.
General Requirements for All Applicants
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Filipino citizen
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written
- Completed at least 2 years in a Bachelor’s program (Note: Diploma and vocational programs don’t qualify)
- Clear complexion and pleasing personality
- Vision should be 20/20 or up to 20/30 with contact lenses; no color blindness
- Willing to work on weekends and holidays
- Open to being stationed anywhere in the Philippines or abroad for Philippine Airlines or PALexpress
- Must pass all pre-employment checks, including medical and security
Additional Requirements for Male Cabin Crew
- Minimum height of 5’6″
- No makeup, powder, or foundation
- Must wear a corporate suit, classic necktie, and leather belt
- Corporate socks and polished, classic leather shoes are required
- Clean, corporate haircut
- Clean-shaven face
- No colored contact lenses or hair dye

Additional Requirements for Female Cabin Crew
- Minimum height of 5’2″
- Bright red lipstick and appropriate makeup; no false eyelashes
- Corporate attire: black knee-length skirt and black blazer
- Hair should be neatly tied in a bun
- Skin-tone stockings are required
- Black shoes with a minimum of 2-inch heels
- No colored contact lenses or hair dye

I get it, some of you might read this and think, “the standards are too high” or shout “discrimination.” Well, this post isn’t for you. It’s for those who are determined, those who have big dreams and are willing to do whatever it takes to exceed the standards and make their PAL cabin crew dreams come true. This isn’t for the losers; it’s for the winners. It’s for those who won’t give up until they achieve their dreams. This is for the positive thinkers, not the cry babies who just spread negativity and bitterness. This is for the go-getters, not the complainers who just sit and rant while others are busting their butts to meet the standards.
