Philippine Airlines has pledged to donate $2 for every ticket purchased as part of this promotion to the Mastercard Priceless Planet Coalition, a sustainability project aimed at bringing together consumers, corporate and government partners, and others to take long-term action against climate change. PPC employs a reforestation model that focuses not only on tree planting, but also on re-growing forests in areas with the greatest need and potential for positive climate, community, and biodiversity impacts. PPC, which was launched by Mastercard in January 2020, aims to plant 100 million trees by 2025 and is currently driving contributions to 18 global reforestation projects including in the Philippines, Cambodia, Brazil, and Kenya. In the Philippines alone, over 417,500 trees have been planted (https://www.mastercard.us/en-us/vision/corp-responsibility/priceless-planet.html).

“The Priceless Planet Coalition is a platform that unites corporate sustainability efforts by engaging businesses and consumers to take collective action to drive positive change for the environment. Mastercard is delighted to have the support and contribution of partners such as Philippine Airlines that share its commitment to the wellbeing of the planet. We look forward to working together to achieve the Priceless Planet Coalition’s goal of restoring 100 million trees globally by 2025,” said Simon Calasanz, Country Manager, the Philippines, Mastercard.
