PAL Relaunches Clark – Siargao Flights This December

Philippine Airlines (PAL) is set to expand its Clark hub network with the relaunch of direct flights between Clark and Siargao, beginning on December 3, 2024. This development is a significant move for travelers seeking easy access to Siargao, known as the “Surfing Capital of the Philippines.”

This new service complements PAL’s existing flights to Siargao from Manila and Cebu. With the addition of the Clark-Siargao route, PAL will offer a total of 31 weekly flights to the island, ensuring more travel options for visitors.

Siargao, a picturesque island famed for its stunning beaches, hidden lagoons, and world-class surfing spots, has garnered recognition as the best island in Asia by readers of Conde Nast Traveler. Home to a thriving community of 120,000 people, Siargao has become a top holiday destination for both local and international tourists. The island offers numerous recreational activities and adventure-packed tour packages, making it a must-visit spot for vacationers.

With the relaunch of the Clark-Siargao route, passengers from Central and Northern Luzon will find it more convenient to visit this paradise. Travelers no longer need to make the long journey to Manila, as the direct flights from Clark offer a quicker and more efficient option.

PAL’s Commitment to Tourism Growth

PAL Express President Rabbi Vincent Ang expressed excitement about reopening the route, stating, “We are excited to be able to fly and welcome leisure travelers back to Siargao via Clark once again. As Siargao’s popularity soars, we stay committed to supporting the island’s tourism growth in a sustainable way for the benefit of its residents and local businesses, while providing an enhanced flying experience for our passengers.”

The relaunch has also been welcomed by Clark International Airport. Noel Manankil, President and CEO of LIPAD Corp, the company managing Clark International Airport, said, “We are pleased to welcome the forthcoming launch of Philippine Airlines’ new service from Clark to Siargao. This will enhance connectivity and bring Siargao within closer reach for travelers from Clark.”

The New Clark – Siargao Route

The direct Clark – Siargao flights will operate three times weekly, making the island more accessible to tourists and enhancing the local economy.

PAL’s new route will be serviced by the De Havilland Dash 8-400 Next Generation aircraft, which has a seating capacity of 86 passengers. The flights will operate every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. The schedule for the new route is as follows:

  • PR 2875 Clark to Siargao departs at 11:00 AM and arrives at 1:05 PM
  • PR 2876 Siargao to Clark departs at 1:35 PM and arrives at 3:40 PM

The Clark – Siargao flights are part of PAL’s growing hub at Clark International Airport, which also includes daily flights to Cebu, four weekly flights to Basco and Busuanga (Coron), and three weekly flights to Caticlan (Boracay).
