Passengers Thank Flight Crew for Safe Flights Amidst Typhoon

While Metro Manila and some parts of the Philippines came to a standstill last July 24, 2024, due to heavy rains brought by Typhoon Carina and the southwest monsoon, airlines continued to operate and fly passengers to their destinations. Although there were quite a number of cancellations, some flights still proceeded. However, the flight to and from Metro Manila was not without its challenges due to turbulence. In spite of the rough flights, I was delighted to read that many passengers expressed their gratitude to the flight crew for ensuring a safe trip amidst unfavorable weather conditions.

In a Facebook post where I thanked our flight crew, airport workers, ramp agents, ground crew, and aircraft mechanics for their unwavering dedication in keeping our skies safe, passengers began thanking their crews in the comments section. It was touching to see these comments and know that the efforts of our pilots, cabin crew, and everyone in aviation had not gone unnoticed.

Flying in harsh weather conditions is challenging. Pilots must remain vigilant, monitoring their surroundings, checking their instruments, communicating, listening attentively, and making critical decisions. Cabin crew also stay alert, monitoring the cabin, ensuring passengers’ safety, and listening for any unusual sounds. Considering that these crew members may have flown more than two sectors, they are likely tired. Nevertheless, they give their utmost to ensure that passengers arrive at their destinations safely.

Here are some photos from the comments section where passengers thanked their flight crew for safely navigating through harsh weather conditions. It’s truly heartwarming to read.
