It’s true that the majority of Filipino cabin crew aspirants continue to dream of becoming a Philippine Airlines flight attendant, but only a few make it. More than the prestige that comes with being a PAL cabin crew member, the airline takes really good care of their staff. Aside from above-standard compensation, PAL fully trains each cabin crew member. Hence, here are some quick tips for all who desire to become a PAL cabin crew.

However, becoming a Philippine Airlines flight attendant isn’t just about having a pretty face. It takes a certain type of person to be chosen from among the thousands who apply. So for all those asking what it takes to be a flight attendant with Philippine Airlines, I hope to briefly discuss that here.
And just a fair warning to those who say “standards are too high,” only losers complain about the standards because they find an excuse not to pursue such goals. But for winners, no standards are too high if they really want to achieve their dream of becoming a PAL cabin crew member.
Personality
You need to have a very pleasant personality. You should be someone who smiles all the time and has a positive aura. Also, you need to be approachable. It seems they have no room for people with a negative mindset.
Character
Your integrity matters a lot. You’ll need to go through an integrity test before the actual training. You also have to embody the PAL values listed below.
Values
Being the heart of the Filipino, you must embody the traits of being “magaling,” “magalang,” “maalaga,” “maaasahan,” and “malambing,” otherwise known as the 5 Ms.
Attitude
You need to be someone who is always open to learning new things. You must be willing to be trained, to accept constructive criticism positively, and you should be able to cope with stress easily.
Social and Interpersonal Skills
You need to be a sociable person and put your customers’ needs first. You also need to adapt to different types of personalities.
Communication Skills
You must have a good command of both the English and Filipino languages, spoken and written. Your passengers need to understand what you’re saying. Proficiency in other dialects and languages is a plus!
Other necessary skills will be taught to you during training.
