Sunlight Air Expands Service to Boracay with New Routes

Sunlight Air, a local boutique airline, has recently introduced new non-stop flights connecting more Filipinos and international tourists to the stunning shores of Boracay. Starting (April 30), 2024, the airline will operate flights from Clark International Airport (CRK) and Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) to Caticlan on Tuesdays and Saturdays. These routes, identified as CRK-MPH and CEB-MPH, are designed to facilitate easier access to one of the Philippines’ top vacation spots during the peak summer season.

Ryna Brito-Garcia, the CEO of Sunlight Air, shared her enthusiasm about the new services. “We’re pleased to be launching our new routes to Caticlan especially in time for the summer season. It’s one of the best places to relax and explore various beaches in the Philippines, and we’re excited for more visitors—both local and foreign—to get to see the stunning natural wonders our country has to offer. We see this to be a great opportunity for us to contribute to local tourism, and look forward to sharing the Sunlight Air experience with more passengers.”

This expansion is part of the airline’s broader strategy to enhance the travel experience. The focus is not just on providing more flight options but also on ensuring a comfortable and efficient journey. Passengers can look forward to spacious seating and easy airport transfers, making their travel as seamless as possible.

A Gateway to Paradise

Caticlan serves as the gateway to Boracay Island, famous for its white sand beaches and crystal-clear waters. Beyond the beach, the area offers a range of activities from hiking with panoramic views to parasailing above the province. The Nabaoy River, known for its pristine condition, is also a must-visit for nature lovers.

Earlier this year, Sunlight Air announced a significant change in its operations by moving its primary hub from Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) to CRK. This move has allowed the airline to launch additional routes such as Clark – Siargao and Clark – Busuanga, as well as new flights from MCIA to destinations like Iloilo and Cagayan de Oro. The decision to relocate was aimed at improving passenger services and flight efficiency while expanding the airline’s network.
