10 reasons to pursue your flight attendant goal

I now give you ten compelling reasons why you should pursue this dream of your to be a flight attendant. Amidst all that is being said about this career, I give you more reasons why you should chase this.

  1. Travel and tourism industry is making a strong comeback

The travel and tourism industry is essential in the development of a country’s economy. Today, revenge travel has brought so much vibrance to the travel and tourism industry. Hotels are packed, airline forward bookings are filled, airport runways are packed, and flights are full. Being in this career is long-term. The pandemic may have proven to be a challenge but it did not stop the industry from rising and crew members from earning their wings again.

  2. Nothing is impossible for as long as you work hard and pray for it

Becoming a cabin crew can be very difficult but very doable. You may face challenges along the way but do not allow this to ruin your dream. Challenges may just be there to teach you important lessons to make you a better person in the future. Do not forget that Rome was never built in a day.

  3. Only in aviation will you be able to enjoy a lunch in Singapore then dinner in Japan

What other jobs will pay you to travel and see the world? Imagine going to places you only saw on Google or in storybooks! Yes, this is one of the biggest reasons why many want to be flight attendants. You are paid to see the world. Others pay to travel while you are paid to travel.

  4. You are part of the service industry

There is nothing like being of service to others. The fulfillment of uniting families and second to none. You touch lives when you help and be there for others. As Woodrow Wilson once said, “There is no higher religion than human service. To work for the common good is the greatest creed.”

  5. You are trained to be a multi-tasker

Flight attendants are also known as safety custodians and safety professionals while being customer service oriented. You are trained to do CPR, fight fires, use medical equipment, swim in deep waters while saving lives, and evacuate hundreds of passengers in less than 90 seconds. At the same time, you are also trained to serve your passengers and to ensure their comfort inflight. Yes, you play a lot of roles as a flight attendant. You end up carrying this trait to the ground.

  6. The uniforms are just so fashionable

Airlines tap on fashion designers and spend a lot of stash on flight attendant uniforms. They are designed to make their flight attendants look good and to project the branding very well. There was a time when Philippine Airlines itself had to tap the services of Pitoy Moreno and Christian Espiritu for their cabin crew uniforms.

  7. The benefits of free travels for your loved ones

Not only do you travel for free, but so can your family and loved ones. Imagine bringing your family to far places which you only dreamt of seeing before. While we would love to walk the streets of New York with workmates, it is also nice to be there with family.

  8. Aviation is a need

Riding an airplane is no longer a luxury, but it is a need. Goodbye, are the days when you had the option to take other means of transportation to go see far places. Travel is now made faster and safer with aviation. Interconnectivity is very important for all. It is a need. Hence, your cabin crew career is not a fad nor is it short-term.

  9. You deal with different passengers everyday and they teach you a lot of lessons in life

As a cabin crew, you deal with different passengers who share a unique stories. Some are traveling for leisure, some for work, some to be united with their families, and for some, due to an unfortunate event. No matter what, these passengers share a different story which teaches us so much about life. You learn to appreciate where you are, what you do, and most especially, the life you live.

  10. Travel is essential for our well-being

Seeing new places, learning about different cultures, and dealing with different people are good for us. Not only does it help us unwind from our hectic lives, but we get to see a wider perspective on the world we live in. We get to understand our own culture, and we get to appreciate those of others. Travel opens our minds, and is very essential for us to appreciate the world we live in.
