Being a flight attendant is all about service for others, and airlines want to see that from you.
  2. They want to know that you are both confident and assertive. As flight attendants, you will be the front liners inside the aircraft and the front liners to the passengers. You have to earn the respect of the passengers. You are also the authority on board and must be able to implement all safety rules and regulations.
  3. A positive attitude begins with your smile. Your smile has to be genuine and natural. Upon entering the building, your recruiters and airline people check you already.
  4. They look at your interpersonal skills. How? They will see how you interact with your co-applicants without you knowing. If they see you talking to your co-applicants while waiting, that is a huge plus. As flight attendants, you will interact with different personalities daily and having excellent interpersonal skills is very important.
  5. How you take care of yourself. You do not have to look as good as a celebrity; you have; to look presentable and neat. Yes, it would help if you had a proper weight-to-height ratio or BMI, but you have to look presentable. Always remember that as flight attendants, you carry the airline’s branding, so you should fix yourself. Exercise daily, diet, ensure your teeth are straight and clean, clear complexion, etc. It doesn’t matter. It doesn’t have dark or fair skin color; you must have skin.
  6. Speaking skills. As flight attendants, you must be able to communicate with your passengers. They must be able to understand you, especially when you are giving out safety instructions. Not all passengers have the same comprehension level. Hence, it is i. Therefore, you can speak English and other languages well.
  7. A proper work-life balance. Airline recruiters want to see you have extracurricular activities and wish to see you live a balanced life. They want to check what your hobbies are. They want to check your other interests. They want to see your other activities, such as if you engage in outreach activities too. Airlines do love flight attendants who live a work-life balance. So during your impact interview, it is also nice to discuss your hobbies and other activities.
  8. Regarding number 1, you must have a strong reason or purpose for becoming a flight attendant. If they ask you why you want to be a flight attendant, here’s how to answer it.

They want you to be the type who is eager to learn. You have to carry the core values of the airline. Your attitude will also determine your and the airline’s success, so attitude is a significant factor.
