Air France has taken a step forward in enhancing the travel experience for Business class customers on its short-haul network. The airline, in partnership with Servair Corporate Chef François Adamski, a celebrated Bocuse d’Or winner and Meilleur Ouvrier de France, has rolled out a new catering offer designed to delight the palate of its travelers.
Air France now presents a dynamic menu that evolves with the time of day. For early risers on flights departing before 10 am, a delightful breakfast awaits, featuring sandwiches with fillings like smoked salmon and cream cheese with dill on white bread, alongside a breakfast pastry. Post 10 am, the culinary journey takes a gourmet turn with chef Adamski’s ‘signature’ sandwiches. These creations, such as smoked paprika chicken and tarragon vegetables on granary bread, are designed to offer a unique and gourmet experience high above the clouds. To sweeten the deal, passengers can indulge in typically French sweets and desserts, including calisson, cannelé, or a tropézienne.
Chef Adamski emphasizes the use of local and seasonal produce, ensuring that the meat, poultry, and dairy products are of French origin. The commitment to quality extends to PDO cheeses and fish sourced from sustainable fisheries, aligning with Air France’s high standards. This approach not only supports local farmers and producers but also ensures that passengers enjoy the freshest ingredients during their flight.
Elegance and Responsibility Combined
The monthly refreshed catering offerings are presented in an elegant meal box, crafted exclusively for Business class customers. This culinary experience is complemented by a meticulously selected list of wines and champagne, now served in a glass, and a variety of hot and cold drinks. In a move towards responsible catering, Air France, with the aid of Servair, has initiated the sorting of meal boxes and food waste onboard for methanization, a first for the airline. This process allows for the reprocessing of waste, underscoring Air France’s commitment to sustainability.
The introduction of Chef François Adamski’s dishes extends beyond the skies. Passengers can also savor his culinary creations at the Air France lounge in terminal 2F at Paris-Charles de Gaulle and in the Business cabin on the airline’s medium-haul flights. This initiative is part of Air France’s strategy to elevate its service and showcase French cuisine’s rich culinary heritage.
