It’s Happening! Cebu Pacific Announces Manila to Sapporo Flights

Cebu Pacific continues to expand its routes, bringing new travel opportunities for Filipinos. After launching 18 new routes in October, Cebu Pacific is now introducing direct flights between Manila and Sapporo, the northernmost point of Japan. These flights will be available starting January 16, 2025, making Cebu Pacific the only airline to offer non-stop flights on this route.

Cebu Pacific’s new flights between Manila and Sapporo will operate three times a week—every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Passengers can enjoy shorter travel times, as these direct flights cut the journey to approximately five hours. In contrast, other airlines offering connecting flights can take up to 10 hours.

“We are thrilled to be the only carrier to offer non-stop flights between Manila and Sapporo. The launch of this route is a testament to Cebu Pacific’s mission of expanding its international network and making air travel accessible to a wider range of passengers. We are excited to offer more Filipinos the opportunity to experience the winter charm of Sapporo,” said Xander Lao, Cebu Pacific President and Chief Commercial Officer.

Sapporo’s Winter Attractions Now More Accessible

This new route will provide Filipino travelers with easier access to Sapporo’s famous winter attractions. One of the highlights is the Sapporo Snow Festival, held every February, featuring elaborate ice sculptures and a variety of snow activities. Visitors can also enjoy snowboarding at the Teine Ski Resort or relax in the natural hot springs of the Jozankei Onsen, known for its serene landscapes.

With Cebu Pacific’s affordable fares, traveling to Japan’s “City of Snow” becomes more budget-friendly. The airline ensures travelers can easily book these flights using Travel Funds or choose from various payment options, including credit or debit cards and e-wallets.

Cebu Pacific operates flights to 35 domestic destinations and 27 international locations across Asia, Australia, and the Middle East. The new Manila-Sapporo route adds to its growing international network, furthering the airline’s efforts to provide accessible and affordable travel options.

This route launch aligns with Cebu Pacific’s commitment to offering more destinations within Asia while maintaining its low-cost fares. As the only carrier with direct flights between Manila and Sapporo, Cebu Pacific continues to strengthen its connections between the Philippines and Japan.
