AirAsia Philippines now connects Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) to over 130 international destinations. This is made possible through their Fly-Thru service, which allows passengers to easily travel to far-off places like the Maldives, Perth, and Jeddah. These new routes are in addition to the 13 direct international flights AirAsia Philippines already operates from NAIA Terminal 3 to cities like Tokyo, Bangkok, and Kuala Lumpur.
The Fly-Thru service doesn’t just stop at offering more destinations. It also provides passengers with a range of additional services to make their journey smoother. When booking a Fly-Thru flight, passengers can opt for up to 60kg of baggage allowance, express baggage delivery, and even unlimited changes to their travel date and time. These services are available for purchase via the AirAsia website or the airasia Superapp.
AirAsia Philippines recommends that international travelers arrive at the airport at least four hours before their scheduled departure. For domestic flights, a three-hour early arrival is advised. For the most current flight schedules and other important information, the airline suggests checking their website regularly.
A Boost for NAIA
This expansion is good news for NAIA as well. The airport recently earned recognition as the 15th most internationally connected low-cost carrier airport megahubs in the world for 2023, according to the Megahubs Index. The Fly-Thru service is expected to contribute to maintaining this status.
First Officer Steve Dailisan, AirAsia Country Head for Communications & Public Affairs, emphasized the significance of this expansion. He stated, “What AirAsia Philippines is offering is unprecedented connectivity to over 130 destinations in the Asia-Pacific including the Middle East compared to other carriers. This gives our guests a wide range of travel destination choices not only for the Ber months but all year round while maintaining the best value for money and the world-class service AirAsia is known for. We would also like our guests to become familiar with our wide route network as we prepare to expand our operations next year.”
AirAsia Philippines has expanded its international route network from NAIA, offering more than 130 destinations through its Fly-Thru service. This service also comes with additional features like extra baggage allowance and flexible travel dates. The airline aims to offer a wide range of travel options while maintaining high-quality service.
