AirAsia Philippines to fly to Osaka, Bali, Bangkok, and Taipei

AirAsia Philippines continues to increase its domestic and international flights. This July, AirAsia is set to mount flights from Manila to Bali and Bangkok. August however will see the launch of AirAsia flights from Manila to Osaka Japan and Taipei Taiwan. They are also opening their Cebu – Incheon flights this August.

Just the past few months, AirAsia also opened two new domestic destinations namely Dumaguete and Roxas, in which I was on board both maiden flights. I am expecting that AirAsia will soon be opening more domestic destinations, especially when they start receiving more aircraft.

International destinations

As of now, AirAsia currently flies to five international destinations from Manila namely Kota Kinabalu, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Seoul, and Singapore. They began operating Manila – Singapore flights today in which they shall operate 4 times weekly.

Highest load factor among other AirAsia subsidiaries

AirAsia Philippines enjoys the highest load factor among all other AirAsia subsidiaries which is at 86%. This was brought by a “revenge travel” among Filipino travelers in the domestic sector. This is even higher than AirAsia Malaysia which is only at 74%.

I am sure AirAsia Philippines is set to increase its capacity further in both its international and domestic sector. The next thing I am looking forward to are ahemmmm… A321neo ahem…. A330neo. Well, hoping these all become a reality soon for the Philippine-subsidiary!
