Emirates is set to make this Thanksgiving a memorable one for passengers traveling between Dubai and the USA. From November 23 to 30, the airline will offer special menus on these flights, bringing the festive spirit thousands of feet above the ground. Passengers will be treated to traditional Thanksgiving fare, ensuring a delightful culinary experience as they travel.
A Taste of Tradition for Every Class
In First Class, passengers can indulge in an exquisite menu featuring sweet potato soup with poached lobster and chives, followed by a succulent Thanksgiving turkey leg roulade. The feast continues with an array of sides including pumpkin purée, brussels sprouts, and glazed baby carrots, topped with veal bacon strips and roasted pecans. For dessert, First Class customers will be treated to warm apple fritters with mascarpone cream, key lime tart with raspberry coulis, and toffee apple and pecan cake.
Business and Premium Economy Class passengers aren’t left out. They’ll start with sweet potato soup, leading into a main course of sous vide turkey with classic cornbread, pumpkin purée, and cranberry jus lié. Desserts in these classes include spiced apple cake with date compote and raspberry curd, offering a sweet conclusion to the meal.
Economy Class travelers will enjoy a festive chicken roulade with cranberry jus lié, complemented by green peas, mashed parsnip with carrots, and baked potatoes. Dessert options include pumpkin delice with cinnamon cream or toffee apple and pecan crumble with salted caramel sauce.
Thanksgiving Breakfast and Sweet Treats
For breakfast across First, Business, and Premium Economy Class, passengers can savor cinnamon pancakes served with apple and cranberry compote and pumpkin cream. This is accompanied by blueberry muffins and cinnamon rolls for a truly festive start to the day. Meanwhile, Emirates’ A380 flights to Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, and Washington DC will feature a Thanksgiving sweet treat in the onboard lounge, including pecan cupcakes and Snickerdoodle Blondies, paired with premium beverages.
The celebration extends to Emirates Lounges in New York, Boston, Los Angeles, and San Francisco from November 18 to 25. Guests can enjoy Thanksgiving dishes like rosemary and sage turkey breast with lemon, green olive, and fig stuffing, and an array of roasted winter vegetables. For dessert, there’s pistachio and pumpkin-spiced baklava. The Dubai lounges will offer roasted turkey breast with all the traditional sides, culminating in a classic pumpkin tart.
Entertainment to Match the Festive Mood
To enhance the Thanksgiving atmosphere, passengers can watch top NFL games on Sport24, including matchups like Philadelphia Eagles vs. Kansas City Chiefs and Green Bay Packers vs. Detroit Lions. Emirates’ ice system offers over 6,500 channels of on-demand entertainment, including 80 Academy Award® winning films, 2,000 movies, and a plethora of TV shows, music, podcasts, and audiobooks in 40 languages. Passengers can pre-select their entertainment choices on the Emirates app and sync them to ice upon boarding.
